Charities
Throughout the year Rothiemurchus donates vouchers and prizes for local events and charities.

We estimate that well over £1milllion has been raised for local charities through organised events on Rothiemurchus during the last 25 years.

We encourage local charities to use Rothiemurchus for well pre planned and organised events such as sponsored walks and the very successful Bikeathon in aid of Leukemia Research. We also organise events ourselves such as Rothiemurchus Highland Games which local charities can use to fundraise for their particular cause.

At present, we particularly support three local Charities, The Highland Hospice of which Johnnie Grant was a founding Patron, Maggie’s Highlands Cancer Caring Centre which Philippa was involved in establishing, and Aviemore Community School.Building Fund, of which Willie McKenna is chairman and which will provide very badly needed facilities for a surprisingly deprived community.
