Rothiemurchus, Aviemore, Scotland for Walking, Outdoor Activities, Camping and Shopping

This hack is a memorable experience lasting around 1½ hours. It is suitable for over 12’s and adults who are fully competent in handling ponies at fast canter in open spaces with other riders.

We offer a variety of challenging routes that can involve a combination of moorland, pinewoods, farmland, rivers and technical upland terrain with little or no roads.. Our ponies are well schooled, fun and responsive, and confident in their natural environment.

There are also brilliant opportunities for photography, to see wildlife and enjoy the freedom and space of Rothiemurchus. We aim to make this an experience to remember!

Disclaimer:	Must be signed by participants before the session - Under 16's must be accompanied by a parent or guardian to sign the disclaimer, and can then be left with the instructor
Age:	Min 12 years
Weight max:	14 stone (90 kg)
Experience:	Competent at rising trot, and canter in open spaces, not just a riding school. Riders must ride regularly, and have cantered out in the last year, riders will be assessed prior to the ride. If deemed not experienced enough, you will not be permitted to continue on this ride. Please note that if you are an experienced ‘western style’ rider only, this is not a suitable ride, we would suggest ‘Rothiemurchus on Horseback’.
Participants:	Wear suitable outdoor clothing & sturdy shoes with small heel. Protective headgear provided.

Important:	We offer different rides to suit all levels of ability. Please read the individual terms and conditions, and note the level of experience required – this is an important requirement, to ensure that everyone has the best experience possible, and that our riders are safe at all times. If a rider is deemed not experienced enough they will not be allowed to continue with that ride.
