Yoga

Why yoga? Do you want to improve: your energy levels, suppleness, muscle tone, core strength, posture, weight, cardiovascular fitness? Presumably you do, then yoga is for you. Yoga is not just for women and there is a class catering just for men.


The beautiful studio at Beallich overlooks the natural surroundings of the Cairngorms National Park near Cromdale. Abby Harrison is a qualified yoga teacher and teaches a number of different forms of yoga such as hatha and raja and different styles eg ashtanga and shadow. The classes are run with small numbers which allows Abby to cater for differing levels of experience and to provide individual coaching.


Don't be intimidated if you are a novice. Yoga is fun. Do I need to be supple? No, the aim is to get you more supple. What about fitness? you don't need to be particularly fit, the goal is to improve your fitness?

 
Ashtanga Yoga, Intermediate Level

An energetic yoga and therefore a good cardiovascular work out - it also improves core strength, suppleness and balance

Session: 18.30-19.45 Mondays
Age: 16 and up
Session max: 4
Session min: 1
Provided: Yoga mats
Experience: Some previous yoga experience useful
Participants: Loose fitting clothing, warm top for cool down time
Meeting point: Beallich, Cromdale, allow 30 minutes from Rothiemurchus Centre.
Duration: 1.25 hrs Price: £9 per person
 

Hatha Yoga, Easy/Intermediate Level

A flowing yoga which is good for building core strength, suppleness and balance

Session: 10.30-11.30 Tuesdays or 18.15-19.25 Wednesdays
Age: 16 and up
Session max: 4
Session min: 1
Provided: Yoga mats (no blocks etc required)
Experience: No previous yoga experience required
Participants: Loose fitting clothing, warm top for cool down time
Meeting point: Beallich, Cromdale, allow 30 minutes from Rothiemurchus Centre.
Duration: 1 hr Price: £7 per person
