Trout
Straight from the sparkling water, which runs from the Cairngorm Mountains to the Fishery, what could be fresher? The Rainbow Trout in our Fish Farm swim in plentiful supplies of the cleanest water, so they are firm, well muscled and have the same forked tails of wild trout.

Either whole, filleted or smoked over the chipping's from old whisky barrels, Rothiemurchus Trout are delicious, as well as being highly nutritious and rich in omega-3.

Government health experts recommend that we eat one to two portions of fish a week, one of which should be an oil rich fish such as Trout which:

Christmas Are high in omega-3 polyunsaturated fatty acids
Wedding Research indicates can cut the risk of fatal heart attacks
Anniversary Is low in fat (a third of the fat of salmon) and calories (just 135 kcal's per 100g)
Birthday Is an excellent source of iron, calcium, selenium and vitamins A, B1, B2, B6 and B12
For Him Contains valuable natural oils that can help keep the skin and hair in good condition

Rainbow Trout are extremely tasty and convenient to cook; a delicious Trout meal can take under 15 minutes to prepare and cook. Johnnie has half a smoked Trout for breakfast, and his favourites dish is hot Trout salad with orange dressing. Another delicious recipe, which we enjoy, is Roast Trout Fillets with Rosemary Potatoes.

Fish health and welfare is paramount for Rothiemurchus, and the Fish Farm is in the process of becoming fully organic.
